We rent out our facilities for occasions such as birthdays, retirement parties, sporting events, social gatherings, weddings, baby showers, family reunions and more.

Birthday Party Packages

An easy solution to the stress of party-planning! Our birthday party packages offer unique activities that will give your guest of honor and their birthday guests an unforgettable experience.

Birthday Party Packages are only available at Pat O’Brien Community Center and Christine Thompson Aquatic Center.

Party times for the pool are only available June–August during Recreation Swim, Mon–Fri from 1:30pm–4:30pm or Sat and Sun from 1pm–4:30pm.

All birthday parties must be booked 30 days in advance and paid in full at the time of the rental.

Incredible Party Package

First hour includes 2 activities or one hour of recreation swimming. Second hour is for party celebration. Covers party host(s), supervised activities, tables, chairs, party tablecloth, plates, cups, and napkins.

  • $200: up to 10 children
  • $250: 11–20 children

    Ultimate Party Package

    First hour includes 2 activities or one hour of recreation swimming. Second hour is for pizza party celebration. Covers party host(s), supervised activities, tables, chairs, party tablecloth, plates, cups, napkins, four extra-large pizzas and drinks.

    • $250: up to 10 children
    • $300: 11–20 children

    Gazebo Area/Picnic Area

    • Small Gazebo (1-2 tables): $20 per hour/2 hour minimum
    • Medium Gazebo (3-4 tables) $30 per hour/2 hour minimum
    • Large Gazebo (5+ tables): $40 per hour/2 hour minimum

    R.E.C. Van Rental

    The R.E.C. Van Rental is also available to rent for your next special event. With so many different activities, your next party is sure to be a hit! For more information on the R.E.C. Van schedule or rental information please call (916) 395-0601.

    Southgate Recreation & Park District Refund Policy

    Park Rentals

    Refunds for park rentals received at least 7 days in advance are processed in accordance with the Park Rental Guidelines and Information Packet and the Contract/Permit.

    Facility Rentals

    Refunds for facility rentals are processed in accordance with the Facility Rental Guidelines and Information and the Contract/Permit.

    Payment of Refunds

    Refunds issued in the form of a check take up to 30 days to process. Refunds may be issued to your Southgate ActiveNet account to use for future programs, classes, activities, park rentals and/or facility rentals. Refunds to a Southgate ActiveNet account are available earlier. Southgate Recreation & Park District reserves the right to cancel or change program offerings, park permits or facility rentals at any time.
