Zumba
Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that is focused on long-term benefits of caloric-burning, body-energizing and awe-inspiring movements! The goal is simple: work out, love working out, and get hooked. Routines feature interval training with fast and slow rhythms and resistance training to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Don’t forget to bring a sweat towel, comfortable clothing, athletic shoes, and water.

Zumba at Rizal Community Center

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga focuses on breath, balance, and strengthening. This class goes through a range of Asanas (poses) and includes a beginning and ending meditation. Be sure to bring your mat and some water. Register here.
Adult Sports
Drop In Rec Volleyball
Southgate Recreation & Park District hosts an open play night for individuals and teams on Thursdays from 7-10p.m. at Jose P. Rizal Community Center. This is a drop-in program for ages 16 and older, IDs are required at the door. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before stepping on the court. This program is recommended for intermediate levels and above . The cost is $5/person per night. There is only one court and space is limited.
Pickleball
It’s never too late to learn a new sport. Pickleball is a cross between tennis, racquetball and ping pong. It’s easy to learn. Pickleball is a quick back-and-forth sport played to 11 points. Games are played at Rizal Community Center.
