When school takes a break but your kids definitely don’t, we’ve got the perfect place for them to spend their winter days. At Southgate Recreation & Park District’s Winter Break Camp, we create the kind of memories kids talk about long after the snow (or Sacramento fog!) fades away.
Imagine this: mornings filled with games and laughter, afternoons spent building crafts, exploring science experiments, reading together, diving into history, and even learning a little bit about nutrition without it ever feeling like “school.” It’s a place where curiosity grows, friendships form, and every day brings something new.
Campers ages 5–12 get a full, fun-packed experience at Pat O’Brien Community Center, complete with morning and afternoon snacks provided by the District. (Just pack a ready-to-eat lunch. No microwaves on site!)
And for our older kids? Teens ages 13–15 can step into leadership as Jr. Recreation Leaders, learning hands-on what it takes to guide younger campers and support staff.
If you’re looking for a safe, engaging, energy-burning, creativity-boosting spot for winter break…this is it. ⛄️💙
