For 70 years, Southgate Recreation & Park District has grown alongside the community it serves. Generations have learned to swim in our pools, taken their first steps onto a field or court, celebrated milestones in our community centers, and found a place to belong in neighborhood parks across South Sacramento.
Every program, project, gathering, and memory has helped carry us toward this day.
Join us on Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the 70 Years in Motion Celebration, Southgate Recreation & Park District’s 70th birthday party!
- 10 a.m. – Doors open to welcome the community with our Senior Open House
- 11 a.m. – Celebrate 70 Years in Motion Ceremony
- 11:30 p.m. – BBQ potluck will be served
