Help your child start the swim season with confidence at Southgate Recreation & Park District’s Swim Lesson Evaluation Days! This FREE event is designed to make choosing the right swim lesson level simple, clear, and stress-free for families.
During your scheduled evaluation, our trained aquatic staff will guide your child through a few basic water skills to determine the lesson level that best fits their needs. Whether your child is brand new to the water or returning for the next step in their learning, the Swim Lesson Evaluation Day ensures they are placed in a class that supports their safety, comfort, and progression.
Parents will receive a level recommendation on the spot, along with helpful information about swim lessons and what to expect throughout the season. Participants also receive priority registration for the first two swim lesson sessions before general enrollment opens, making it easier to get the class time that works best for your family!
This event is a simple way to prepare for summer while giving swimmers a confident start in the pool.
