Generations have learned to swim in our pools, taken their first steps onto a field or court, celebrated milestones in our community centers, and found a place to belong in neighborhood parks across South Sacramento.\nEvery program, project, gathering, and memory has helped carry us toward this day.\nJoin us on Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the 70 Years in Motion Celebration, Southgate Recreation & Park District’s 70th birthday party!\n\n10 a.m. – Doors open to welcome the community with our Senior Open House\n11 a.m. – Celebrate 70 Years in Motion Ceremony\n11:30 p.m. – BBQ potluck will be served\n\nCome celebrate the people, places, and shared experiences that have kept Southgate moving for seven decades. Whether your connection to the District began years ago or you are visiting for the first time, this birthday belongs to all of us!\nSeventy years brought us here.
